We're taking our longest roadtrip of the holiday today and heading for the most south-westerly point of the UK mainland to Land's End.

I've been to Cornwall a couple of times when I was younger, but I don't recall ever going down to Land's End. [edit: see the comments below!]

As Rhys describes it, it's a bit of a tourist trap. Nothing there except an overpriced gift shop, café and attractions. There's a free video exhibition of a journey from John O'Groats down to Land's End in 8 minutes flat, but apart from that there's little else.

We went there to avoid the tourist stuff and headed straight on to the footpaths towards Sennen Cove.

After what felt like an eternity (was probably 30 - 40 minutes with a load of stops), we'd walked almost a mile to a stunning view of the craggy coastline and an unexpected surprise of seeing a shipwreck down below!

Unfortunately, I discovered that the RunKeeper app on my phone that I used to track our walk had crashed when we got to the halfway point of the walk, but I restarted it for the return journey which you can take a look at here (along with a map). Just remember to double our efforts!!

It was a nice walk and, although windy, we all enjoyed it. A well-earned Starbucks was in order on the way back, though. Thanks to the free wifi there, we got the Becky Falls video uploaded to Facebook and if Rhys lets me I'll try and get it uploaded here or via YouTube soon too.

Tonight is a relaxing night in. We've got our food in the oven, beer and wine in the fridge and, thanks to a fresh delivery of logs from the farmer, a nice roaring logburner.

Tomorrow we're off to Bodmin to walk around the Moor, heading to Jamaica Inn (been there before and thought it was shit but Becky wants to go), and generally not wandering off too far. Can't believe we'll be at Wednesday tomorrow, the time is going far too quickly.
