Over the Christmas and New Year break, a friend said that I should try and do a Project 365 - take a photograph every day for a year of things around you.

It's a pretty simple idea, but I hardly manage to write a few words on a blog, let alone make an effort to go and take a half-decent photo. I've always been interested in photography but too scared to take the camera out of 'auto' mode. Maybe this is the opportunity I need to explore.

Even better I managed to talk myself in to buying a new camera to play with and I love it. I'm really happy with the pics I've taken so far and the comments from others have been positive so it's really helping in my confidence behind the camera.

So far I've managed to get a photo online every day since the 2nd January (ok, ok, it was meant to be the 1st but I used my dad's camera for that and left the pic on it). I'm pleased with that but then it's only been a week. How long will it be before my inspiration, creativity and/or motivation dries up? We'll see.
