I really must ask myself why each year, for the past four years, I've bought myself a paper diary to write my thoughts in when all I seem to do is leave them in my bedside drawer untouched.

I've opened this one just a few hours short of a year since my last entry about media backlashes.

I suppose they have their uses as I don't always want to fire up my laptop and blog about things at 11.30 at night, but scribbling into a diary by the light of a bedside lamp is different. It has a kind of charm to it.

I may as well just use the space in this diary for 2010 - no point in wasting it. Never know, it might make it in to 2011 too!
